Unstable Pre-Existing Medical Condition Coverage
Flying a little low to start with? Not to worry. With Goose, you can add up to $250,000 limit of coverage to your travel medical policy for unstable pre-existing medical conditions at affordable rates*.
The conditions for your condition
It all comes down to your age and length of stay. We can cover your unstable pre-existing medical condition within these parameters:
- If you’re 59 & under:
- On trips 35 days or less: your pre-existing conditions are covered (excluding conditions that arose, needed treatment, or have worsened 7 days prior to your departure date).
- On trips longer than 35 days: your pre-existing conditions need to be stable 90 days prior to the departure date.
- If you’re 60 to 74:
- Your pre-existing conditions are covered if they have been stable for 180 days prior to departure*.
- If you’re 75+:
- Your pre-existing conditions are covered if conditions have been stable for 365 days (1 year) prior to departure*.

**If traveller is not covered by a provincial medical health plan, travel medical coverage is limited to $50,000.
***Terminal condition means a physician has given you a terminal prognosis with a life expectancy of 12 month or less.
